Future players shine

Today saw a raft of player from our U14's and U15's take to the field at the historic Stowe School as part of the Hunts and Peterborough district sides. Playing 3 fixtures against Bedfordshire, East Northants and Northampton Alliance in front of Northampton Saints Academy coaches. D.O.R Tommy McCollin said 'having the amount of players from our club across the junior age groups representing our district in full view of the Saints Academy coaches shows the talent we have coming through at the club, it can only be a good thing for the club and parents and coaches should be so proud of the lads who not only played today but who made it to trial'. with upwards of 25 players representing the H&P district over 3 age groups, it is a testament to just how well our club is doing. couple this with the four U16's players who attended the East Midlands skills camp at Wellingborough RFC and impressed enough to be invited back to trial for a place within the full East Midlands squad in November, our Junior section really is making its mark in the representative rugby world.!!!!
