Payback with interest on the home draw just weeks before.

Slightly smarting from a draw at home just two weeks prior, the Saints travelled the short distance to Huntingdon to fulfilled the away fixture that was cut short at the start of the season with a fire in their bellies.

Huntingdon put pressure on early and looked strong in the carry. Strong challenges from the St Neots forwards lead to a turn over and Dingemans was released, taking on the Stags flanker with a powerful collision but was deemed to have done so with a leading arm. Huntingdon opted for the tee and and as a result took first blood.

Following this the Huntingdon backs were gained momentum and worked their way from edge to edge. They gained strong field position from a penalty and the lineout set up Huntingdon to score, going 8 points up.

Not letting frustration get the better of them, Saints were keen to switch the momentum and they had a great opportunity to do so when the Stags winger took a player out off the ball, thinking he was part of a ruck. After just a few minutes of playing with a man advantage the ever-reliable Saints backline showed that whatever Stags could do, they could do better and worked the ball from one side of the pitch to the other. Pace and timing across the line set winger Josh Hudson-lett up with the final pass for his first of the afternoon.

Adrenaline pumping, Saints kept the momentum in their favour from the restart and it wasn't long before the other winger and renowned speedster Bradley McKenna wanted a try of his own. Taking the ball on his wing but then steering his run in front of the covering defenders and slaloming back to the posts to score, he finished off the spectacle by converting as well.

It was then the turn of the forwards, who even when the Stags were back to a full XV looked to turn the screw. After a quick tap penalty the boys in green were scrambling to defend. Ross Hubbard was found in the midfield and having already caused some damage in his carries he drew in the remaining defense. He passed the ball to Keiran Arber, the marauding prop whose selflessness and teamwork showed when he refrained from attempting the riskier run-in, instead drawing the last man and popping to Hudson-lett for his second.

Huntingdon were given plenty of advice at halftime and looked to return to their positive play from the begining of the previous half. They managed to push themselves to the 5 meter line and their physicality prevailed as they bundled over the line for their second try.

As the sun started to disappear and the game was almost done one thing became clear - St. Neots were not done. The ball found Hudson-lett one on one with his opposite man. He went to go on the outside and the defender committed. He then slipped smoothly back towards the posts and glided in for a hatrick.

Rory Dingemans at centre made plenty ground throughout the game but had not yet made that try scoring break. An opportunity arose when he powered between the centres and was looking at a solo Huntingdon fullback tracking across. The team play came in again for Saints with Dingemans passing to the supporting scrum half Jack Webb who then had a clean path to the posts, and was as pleased as ever to get on the score sheet against a rival.

Only a few minutes later, Dingemans was in the thick of it again. A cross field kick from the fly half Spearing found Hudson-lett and Huntingdon knew the threat. Having already got 3 trys, defenders swarmed to stop him from punishing to them further. After he was tackled to the ground, Dingemans picked the ball up quickly and found a gap down the left-hand side of the ruck to score.

After clearing the ball deep there was one last attack for Saints. The Huntingdon full back failed to control the ball which allowed Bradley McKenna take it through and chase. Playing to the whistle, Jack Walsh was there in support and collected the ball to score on his debut from the bench.
