St Neots travelled the short journey to Biggleswade for a local rivalry that has been closely fought in recent years.
St Neots started well scoring within just a few minutes of play. Winger James Larman used his speed to get around the outside of the Biggleswade back and run in under the sticks.
With the wind in their sails Saints were keen to push on and Rory Dingemans was the player to make it happen. He carried in his usual hard and aggressive fashion, breaking the line and diving over in the corner.
Biggleswade were frustrated and were keen to get their own points on the board. They used their size to their advantage and looked to work the set peices against the Saints. Scoring 2 trys of their own before half time they were within just 2 points of Saints.
In the second half Saints were plagued with injuries. Having already lost their Captain early in the first half they were then forced to take off the hooker and replacement prop leaving them without a front row. The ref infroned St Neots they needed to lose a player and they were down to 14. From this point Biggleswade were able to use the extra man to their advantage. Playing the ball around the outside of the St Neots backs.
Saints were still able to show their class though, with fly half Josh Spearing kicking long for Larman to chase it down. Collecting it cleanly, Larman also had the support of Number 8 Ross Hubbard. One simple pass and Hubbard was over the line unanswered.
Biggleswade continued to use the man advantage, compounded by a yellow card for when Dingemans, allowing Biggleswade to run in a further 2 tries and put Saints out of reach.
