Heathens turned up to a Cantabs side readying up to go, out on the training pitch an hour early anticipating a walk over. Although not quite in the same state of readiness, Heathens lined up with intent from the off. A massive shift from the St Neots players left Cantabs wanting in the first half trading blow for blow and with a fantastic team try finished off by Stu Miller. Committed defence largely kept Cantabs at bay ending the half 12-7.
The second half was unfortunately not so closely fought as slowly but surely Heathens succumbed to injuries which gave way for Cantabs to pull their game together and eventually whittle Heathens down to dominate and build a secure win 38-7. There were some bright moments where Heathens threatened the line and Cantabs by no means had an easy ride to the final whistle. A gigantic effort from the lads and nothing to be ashamed of. Many men put a staunching effort forward for M.O.M but this day belonged to Dec Seamans for his sheer doggedness which left most of the Cantab lads wanting to smack him.
