St Neots U16's Secure Dominant Win in Season Opener

In ideal rugby conditions, St Neots U16’s kicked off their league campaign with a home fixture against Peterborough. Excitement was in the air as the team took to the field in their new playing tops, generously sponsored by Kings Power Solutions. St Neots started the game with confidence and purpose, taking early control against a Peterborough side that was missing a few key players. To ensure the match could go ahead, St Neots provided some players to help Peterborough field a full team—a testament to the sportsmanship and camaraderie between the two sides.

From the kick-off, St Neots set the pace, displaying the hard work they’ve put in during training. Their swift, decisive play saw them score several tries in quick succession, with powerful runs and excellent ball movement creating space for their wingers to exploit. The team executed their game plan brilliantly, moving the ball from the breakdown to the wide channels, showcasing their attacking intent.

Despite the challenging circumstances, Peterborough showed tremendous heart throughout the match, fighting back and making St Neots work hard for every possession. However, St Neots well organised and disciplined defence stood firm, limiting Peterborough’s opportunities and keeping them at bay.

In the end, it was a comprehensive team performance from St Neots, who continue to improve as a cohesive unit with each game. Best of luck to Peterborough for the rest of their season—they displayed great resilience, and we look forward to facing them again.
